Components:
1)Valve body : The major part of the valve that houses the plug and other internal parts For fluid flow, it features ports for inlets and outlets.
2)Plug: The valve’s closure part, which is usually tapered or cylindrical in shape and has a hole or port drilled through it. To open or close the flow passage, the plug rotates inside the valve body.
3)Valve Stem: Attaches the plug to the actuator and transfers rotation to regulate the valve’s opening and closing.
4)Actuator: The device inside the valve body that propels the plug’s movement. Actuators can be powered by an electric motor, hydraulic pressure, pneumatic (using compressed air), or manual (hand-operated).
