Angle Globe Valve is designed for globe valves whose inlet and outlet are at right angles between them. The most common style of this valve is similar to a globe valve, but they have a fundamental variation in the direction of fluid flow as in the angle valve. These valves are used in lines where the pipe construction or pressure drop is complex. Depending on the line pressure, Angle Globe Valves are open with pressure-seal or bolted bonnets.

Design & Function

Bonnet: The bonnet is the outside part of the valve, which is composed of these other parts.
Cage: The cage surrounds the stem inside the valve.
Stem: The stem attached with the disk to the valve actuator or handwheel, transmitting the force.
Disk : The component of the globe valve that moves perpendicular to the seat. It is easy to move a physical barrier that blocks the flow. When it is closed, the disk sits on the opposite side of the seat, plugging the flow. When opened, the disk placed above the seat, giving liquid to pass.
Seat ring: on this part of the valve provides the seal between the stem/disk and bonnet when the disk is tightly pressed against it. It’s either integrated or screwed into the valve itself.

Advantage

● It is leak-proof also with no replacement or retightening.
● It has Greater flow with reduced head loss.
● It is Long seat life due to minimizing seat disc grinding on the body seat.
● Hydrostatic relief or vent valve can easily be attached to the plug.
● easier-to-turn-handles due to the “V”-ring.
● Heavy-duty rolled ACME stem threads give quick action and long service life.
